1. Who we are
PaidForDelay is provided by Marcus Nash Tofftin, Spannlandsgatan 16, 41479, Gothenburg. Email: hello@paidfordelay.com. Not VAT registered (small business exemption)
We are not affiliated with any airline.
2. The service
PaidForDelay checks, free of charge, whether a disrupted flight may give you compensation under Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 or its UK equivalent, and sells a digital claim kit: a claim letter to the airline, an escalation letter, and instructions on where and how to send them.
PaidForDelay is a self-help tool. We do not represent you, we do not contact the airline on your behalf, and we do not give legal advice. The assessment is made automatically from your answers using fixed rules. Whether you are paid is decided by the airline, a complaints body or a court. We cannot guarantee the outcome.
3. Price, payment and delivery
We currently sell the claim kit to people who live outside the United Kingdom. The free check is open to everyone.
The claim kit costs €29 per booking, whatever the number of passengers, including any VAT. You pay by card (or Apple Pay or Google Pay) through our payment provider Stripe. The claim kit is delivered immediately after payment on a personal page that only you have the link to. The compensation is paid by the airline directly to you. We never handle it.
4. Right of withdrawal
The claim kit is digital content delivered immediately. Under EU consumer rules (in Sweden the Distance Contracts Act, 2005:59), the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content not supplied on a physical medium once delivery has started with your express consent and your acknowledgement that the right of withdrawal is lost. You give that consent and acknowledgement before paying. The refund guarantee below applies regardless.
5. Refund guarantee
If neither your claim nor your escalation gets you paid, you get €24 back. That is the price of €29 minus a handling fee of €5, which covers payment and administration costs:
- First escalate your claim to the complaints body (the national enforcement body, or for UK flights the CAA or an approved ADR body), using the escalation letter on your claim page, and mark it as sent there.
- Then upload the final answer on your claim page: the complaints body’s decision, or the airline’s final rejection. If you have had no decision within 6 months of escalating, proof that you escalated is enough.
- You can ask for the refund within 365 days of your purchase, or within 365 days of escalating if that is later.
- We review it and normally refund within two business days, to the card you paid with.
- The guarantee covers one refund per purchase. It does not apply if you gave incorrect information in the check, or if the airline paid all or part of the compensation. We may ask for additional documents.
The guarantee covers at most what you paid us. It does not cover travel costs, fees or other losses.
6. Your responsibility
You are responsible for giving correct information, for reading the letters before sending them, and for sending them in time. Time limits for claims differ between countries.
7. Liability
Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service. We are not liable for indirect losses. This does not limit your rights under mandatory consumer law.
8. Complaints and disputes
Contact us at hello@paidfordelay.com if you are unhappy. If we can’t agree, you can turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN), arn.se. Consumers in other EU countries can get free help from the European Consumer Centres Network. Swedish law applies, without depriving you of the protection given by mandatory rules in your country of residence.
